We’re excited to share some big news from the Building Spatial Intelligence team; our Managing Director, Jeremy Pilgrim, will be speaking at R-CON 2025 in Boise, Idaho!
For those who aren’t familiar with the event, R-CON is one of the leading international gatherings for reality capture and Scan-to-BIM professionals. Since its launch in 2020, it’s been a go-to event for exploring cutting-edge workflows, technologies, and ideas. Jeremy has been a loyal attendee (and self-confessed fan) since the early days, so stepping up to the stage this year is a milestone moment for him and for us as a company.

Taking UK BIM Expertise to the Global Stage
Jeremy’s session, “Scan-to-BIM at Scale: Prioritising Metadata Over Geometry for FM & Thermal Analysis”is scheduled for Day 1 of R-CON 2025, on 30th September, giving delegates a fantastic opportunity to attend the talk and catch-up with Jeremy as the event unfolds.
The presentation takes a fresh look at how we approach BIM. While many projects focus heavily on geometry and visuals, our experience managing large, complex estates (particularly in education) has shown us that metadata is the real asset. His talk will explore:
- Why metadata-driven BIM models can be more valuable than highly detailed geometry
- How this approach supports facilities management (FM) and thermal performance analysis
- Practical strategies for scaling lean, metadata-first workflows across large estates
In short, it’s about rethinking BIM from the ground up to make it more actionable, scalable, and impactful.

The timing makes the event even more special, as it coincides with Jeremy’s milestone birthday, turning this speaking opportunity into both a professional achievement and a personal celebration!
